How Much Does an Air Fryer Cost?

When I was in search of an air fryer, it was stunning to see the variation in price with the different models.

You can buy an air fryer for as little as $35 and as high as $350.

The cost of an air fryer largely depends on the brand, size, and features you’ll get.

In this article, I will break down the different types of air fryers you can get and their average pricing.

The Different Air Fryer Prices

I’ll discuss the different air fryer prices based on:

Capacity and Size

You can find air fryer sizes starting from 1 to 10 quarts.

This wide selection is great as you’re able to choose an appliance that will accommodate the size of your family.

When you buy a small air fryer, you’ll likely need to upgrade sooner.

You may need to cook repeatedly for one serving as the size limits the amount of food you can make.

I would recommend buying an air fryer with a capacity of at least 5 quarts.

The options available include:

· 1 to 3.7  quart Air Fryer

Air fryers under this category are the smallest and cheapest available.

Their costs are under $50. These air fryers under $50 have the basic air frying feature.

The most popular air fryer under 50 is the Dash Compact air fryer.

· 4 to 6-quart Air fryer

Air fryers within this capacity are great for both individuals and small families.

They allow you to prepare meals and side dishes without much struggle.

You also enjoy more features compared to the smaller air fryers.

Air fryer models in this range cost between $60 and $150.

The cost varies due to the features you’ll enjoy and the brand you choose.

Either way, you can get a decent air fryer for your family from one of the top brands for $100.

· 7 to 10-quart Air Fryer

Air fryers with a higher capacity are recommended for users with larger families.

It is also great for people who love hosting and preparing large batches of food at a time.

These air fryers cost anywhere between $110 to $200.

Air Fryer Type

· Air Fryer

This is the standard air fryer that operates as a small countertop oven.

They vary in design, size capacity, and function.

A basic air fryer allows you to air fry, roast, crisp, bake and reheat food.

The cost ranges between $35 to $150.

· Dual Basket Air Fryer

They are also known as 2-basket air fryers.

As the name suggests, these appliances feature two air fryer baskets giving more space to prepare food.

The two air fryer baskets are independent. You control them separately to set the temperature and cooking times.

You can prepare the same or different dishes and cut your cooking time.

The top brands with dual-basket air fryers are:

Ninja with the Ninja Foodie models and,

Ulticor with their 8 Quart DualZone air fryer.

· Air Fryer Oven

An air fryer oven is an air fryer integrated with the oven cavity as opposed to an air fryer basket.

Air fryer ovens operate the same as standard air fryers.

The main differences between the two are the design, cooking space, and placement of food.

The most popular air fryer ovens are from Ninja, Emeril Lagasse, Instant Vortex, and Kalorik®.

They cost between $150 and $250.

· Air Fryer Toaster Oven

The air fryer toaster oven is similar to an air fryer oven.

However, it has an added toaster function that expands your cooking capabilities.

You can get models with up to 13 different functions in one appliance.

They are large-capacity air fryers with up to 10 quarts suitable for 5 to 7 people.

Buying this type of air fryer reduces the amount of money you spend buying different appliances.

They provide adequate cooking space, are energy efficient, and save on storage space.

They cost between $100 and $250.

A great example of this air fryer is the Cosori Air Fryer Toaster Combo.

· Pressure Cooker Air Fryer

These versatile appliances allow you to have both worlds.

You pressure cook food to lock in moisture while enjoying a crisp finish.

This is made possible by changing the lids of the appliance.

With a pressure cooker air fryer, you’re able to slow cook, pressure cook, steam, saute, roast, bake, make yogurt, dehydrate and keep food warm.

You can find a pressure cooker air fryer with a 5 to 8-quart capacity.

They cost between $120 and $300 depending on size.

The two great options are the Ninja Foodi and Instant Pot Duo Crisp.

· Indoor Grill and Air Fryer

If you love grilling, you can get a grill and air fryer combo.

You will have the ability to create the coveted grill marks with a crispy and crunchy feel.

These grill air fryers can get to temperatures as high as 500 °F.

They cost between $150 and $250.

The Cosori Indoor Grill & Air Fryer Combo is a great option.

· Microwave Air Fryer

A microwave air fryer combines the features of a microwave and an air fryer.

The appliance uses both electromagnetic waves and hot air to prepare food.

These appliances cost between $200 and $600.

The high-end microwave air fryers that cost more than $300 combine more features.

This Panasonic HomeChef is a good example.

Brand

Numerous brands manufacture air fryers.

You can find an air fryer irrespective of which region of the world you live in.

The top air fryer brands include:

  • Ninja
  • Cosori
  • Phillips
  • Instant Pot
  • Chefman
  • Gourmia
  • Cuisinart

Features

Some air fryer models have features that are not common to other products. This can make their prices higher.

The various features and enhancements play a part in the cost of an air fryer.

· Fat Removal Technology

An air fryer with fat removal technology not only allows you to prepare meals with minimal or no oil but also separates and collets any excess fats.

An air fryer with this fat removal technology is premium and not common.

One of these air fryers is the Phillips Premium Air fryer XXL.

It is a manual 7-quart air fryer with an excellent black design.

This air fryer costs between $270 and $350 depending on where you buy it.

· Cooking Functions

From the different types of air fryers above, you can get unlimited cooking functions.

The common feature with all of them is air frying.

The additional functions depend on your preference and the type of meals you prepare.

The many options allow you to focus on a specific cooking method.

You don’t need to box yourself to just air frying.

It is difficult to cost an air fryer based on the cooking functions only.

· Material

Most air fryers are either made using plastic, aluminum, or stainless steel material.

The more durable the material, the higher the cost of the air fryer.

Most of the popular brands combine plastic and stainless steel with a non-stick coating.

This makes them more durable and affordable.

Air fryers made purely using stainless steel cost higher for example the Cuisinart Compact Air Fryer.

There are also glass air fryers.

The best example of this is the Nutrichef Air Fryer.

It utilizes hot air and infrared to prepare food. You can bake, roast, defrost, broil, grill, steam, and BBQ.

· Other Features

Additional features that play into the cost of an air fryer are whether it is digital, smart, or manual.

Others have technologies that minimize air fryer noise and enhance cleaning.

Another factor is the air fryer accessories that come with the appliance.

Conclusion

How much an air fryer costs is dependent on many factors.

You need to consider its capacity, brand, type, features, and functionality.

An air fryer can cost $35 to $300.

You need to ascertain the features right for you to estimate how much your appliance will cost you.
